Nov. 13th, 2013 06:45 pmShe needs one of those rolling cart things she always sees old ladies carrying their groceries in.
For whatever reason, maybe because most everything else is going pretty well, Kate's decided she's going to try to be an adult about eating, too, and maybe cook at home. Like, twice a week anyway. Maybe just once. But either way, she'd realized about halfway through searching for recipes online that she'd actually need some groceries to make these things. Her cupboards are pretty bare. She has coffee and tea, a few cans of soup she never looks at and her fridge is mostly beer and condiments. And some fruit, because she likes fruit, but that's pretty much it.
Now Carla Jean and Danny are here and she feels like maybe she should make an effort. She has a job, after all, one she's actually excited about. She has the whole fashion blog thing going. She has a dude who's genuinely nice to her, it's all kind of working out.
So now she just needs to learn how to feed herself.
She has the groceries, but her problem is that she doesn't have enough arms. And she's still like, two blocks from home. Which means it's totally the perfect time for her to spot someone she's never met before, but the girl has a familiar face and Kate is about eighty percent sure they both live in Dimera.
"Hi," she says, nearly dropping a bag at the girl's feet. "Shit, sorry. So I know we're total strangers, but I'm pretty sure I've seen you in my building and I'm kind of in desperate need of an extra pair of arms. Do you think you could give me a hand?"
